Meeting etiquette
Delegates' Obligations
To effectively participate in the AIS'22 Online Meeting, all participants will need to respect the following:
- Register at https://2022.internetsummit.africa/component/afmeeting/?view=register to be able to attend the meeting
- Have your earphones connected especially for the Q&A session to allow interpreters/ captioners to hear properly
- French speakers to be on the French channel and English Speakers to be on the English channel and to avoid switching between channels
- All participants will be muted upon entry
Participants will be allowed to share their comments only during the Open mic & Q&A session - Participants are encouraged to raise their hands prior to any comments/questions
The session moderator shall state your name before you are allowed to speak - Respect the Code of conduct
Speakers' Obligations
- In addition to the above, all presenters will need to respect the following:
Attend the Dry Run sessions from 24 to 26 May 2022 (Timings to be shared in due course)
- Test-run your presentation before the conference
- Have your laptop with headset/ desktop with Webcam and Microphone/headset connected
- French speakers to be on the French channel and English Speakers to be on the English channel and to avoid switching between channels
- Microphones to be muted when not talking
- Presentations to be in PDF
- Keep time
- Keep your presentation within the time limit
- Have your slides already open before your time
- Be properly dressed for the presentation
- Be aware of your surroundings - (No beds, or messy rooms)
